HOW TO BOOK?

We are here to help and will give you every assistance to put together the tour of your dreams. Please get in touch via our contact form, phone or email so that we can discuss your requirements. Once you are happy with the details of your tour and we confirm this in writing, we ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total tour cost. The deposit allows us to secure the accommodation, transport and drivers.

Full details of how to pay the deposit and final balance, will be sent to you by email when we confirm availability. For group bookings (10+) different terms will apply, please Contact Us for details.

 

PAYMENT

We don't advertise prices on our website due to the bespoke nature of all our tours. Each trip is fully customised to give you the experience which best suits your interests and budget. From basic to luxury accommodation we know all the best places to stay and will make sure you are happy and comfortable every step of the way.

 

Payment can be made by PayPal or bank transfer. Please let us know which you prefer and we will forward the details. A non-refundable 25% deposit will be required to confirm your booking and the 75% balance will be due on the first day of your tour. 

Different conditions apply for groups of 10 or more.

 

 

CANCELLATION BY YOU

If you need to cancel your tour please notify us as soon as possible by email. Cancellation will be effective from the date we receive your notification.

The following charges are applicable upon cancellation:

• Cancellation 30 days or more before tour start date – the 25% deposit will be refunded.

• Cancellation less than 30 days - the 25% deposit cannot be refunded due to the costs incurred in booking accommodation, car and driver.

Cancellation charges may be covered by your insurance policy, please check with your insurance provider.

 

 

CANCELLATIONS BY DESERT ESCAPADES

The nature of outdoors and adventure travel may mean that occasional, unforeseen changes to the expected tour may be necessary which are beyond our control, such as adverse weather or road conditions. We will advise you as soon as we become aware of any such changes to be made in the interests of clients’ safety. We accept no responsibility for any such changes. Should extreme conditions involve clients in additional costs for accommodation, transport, food etc, such costs will be borne by the client, not by Desert Escapades.

 

We may be forced to cancel a tour for reasons beyond our control (“force majeure”). In this case, you will be entitled to a refund less any costs already incurred by Desert Escapades. No other compensation will be due or payable by us to you. If we cancel a tour for a reason other than “force majeure” you will be entitled to a full refund. We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time.

 

FLIGHTS

Air travel is the responsibility of the client and will be organised independently of your booking with Desert Escapades. Flights will be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant airline. We accept no liability for this element of your tour.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking a tour with Desert Escapades that you are adequately covered by comprehensive travel insurance which must include cover for medical emergencies and the cost of rescue/evacuation by any means of transport. It is your responsibility to check that all adventure sports (i.e. including but not limited to camel-back trekking, desert trekking by foot, mountain trekking at altitude by foot, horse-riding, mule-riding, water-sports) to be undertaken on your tour are covered by your policy.

 

BY BOOKING WITH DESERT ESCAPADES YOU AGREE TO:

You accept responsibility for bringing and looking after your own medication and personal first-aid.

You must notify us of any disability/illness, past or present, that may affect your ability to take part in a tour with Desert Escapades.

You accept at your own risk, and understand, the risks inherent in outdoors and adventure travel in a developing country.

You accept responsibility for looking after your personal property and travel documentation during the tour.

You accept the booking with Desert Escapades on the understanding that potential alterations/delays may arise due to factors beyond our control for which we accept no responsibility (as above).

You accept and agree that you have read the above terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
